GENERAL FAQ
When is LASSO?
LASSO 2021 will take place Friday August 13 and Saturday August 14. Doors open at noon, and performances begin at 1:00pm and end at 11:00pm.
Where is LASSO?
LASSO takes place at Parc Jean-Drapeau, located on the island of Île Saint-Hélène just minutes away from downtown Montréal. We recommend taking the STM’s Metro system and follow the indications for the yellow line, the metro station “Jean-Drapeau” will bring you to a few steps away from the festival grounds!
When does LASSO announce the schedule?
The full schedule is usually announced 2-4 weeks prior to the festival but that is subject to change.
Festival headliners are the last to play on each given day, typically hitting the stage between 9pm and 9:30pm (subject to change). Artists perform anywhere from 30-minute sets to 90 minute-plus sets for the festival headliners.

Is LASSO an all-ages event?
Yes, LASSO is an all-ages event. Children aged 10 years and younger are admitted for free when accompanied by an adult with a valid LASSO General Admission pass.
Due to the limited amount of space available on the LASSO Terrace, every person admitted to this area must hold a valid Gold pass, including children.
Cannabis Regulations
All cannabis products brought into the festival site must be in sealed SQDC packaging or from any other official government sources and must have been purchased legally. Any cannabis products that do not conform to the law will not be accepted or allowed on site. an individual may have up to a maximum of 30 grams in their possession, the maximum quantity allowed by law. No sale of cannabis is authorized on site. Consume in moderation.
Can I work/volunteer at LASSO?
The application period to volunteer for the 2021 edition is not yet open. Please check back later!
Can reviewers and photographers get accredited for LASSO?
The media accreditation period for the 2021 edition is not yet open. To receive notification when media accreditation begins, please register for Lasso press announcements at

What can I bring to Lasso?
Please note that cameras are permitted, however, professional video and audio recording equipment is not permitted at the festival.
Here is a complete list of what is and what is not permitted on site at Lasso:

Items that are on the disallowed list will be confiscated. We recommend not bringing them to the event site at all to save you the extra hassle. Some items on the disallowed list (backpacks, folding chairs, etc.) may be left at the paid coat check. See below for more information.
What is there to do after the show?
Lasso ends at 11:00pm each night, but don’t let that stop you! Keep the party going at one of the official afterparties and check out all that Montréal has to offer!
What is Montréal's weather like during the festival?
August in Montréal is usually warm and sunny, so bring plenty of sunscreen and some shades to protect yourself from those rays. Keep an eye on the forecast, and if the weather is less than ideal, please do come prepared.
What if it rains?
As the saying goes, "The show must go on!" Lasso takes place rain or shine. Please check the weather prior to coming to Lasso and if there’s a high chance of rain we suggest bringing a pocket-sized poncho and a sweatshirt or windbreaker.
Please note that severe weather conditions may temporarily interrupt some concerts/activities. We invite you to stay tuned to our social media for up-to-date information. Please note that as indicated in our purchase agreement, the Lasso policy is that no exchange or refund will be provided following your purchase.
Is there a Lost & Found at Lasso?
During the festival: Our lost and found service point tent is located near the information kiosk, close to the site's main entrance. It will be a pleasure for us to return any and all lost items. However, if your belongings have not yet been recovered, you may contact us at [email protected]. Please be sure to include a detailed description of the lost items and a member of our customer service team will be in touch.
All Festival performers, including headliners, are subject to change or cancellation at any time without notice. No refunds will be issued if a festival performer is changed or canceled.
PASSES
When do Lasso passes go on sale?
LASSO 2021 Weekend Passes are on sale now! Single Day Passes will go on sale at a later date. Please join our newsletter and follow us on Facebook and Twitter in order to be the first to know when the single days passes are going on sale and when the schedule becomes available to the public.
Passes are issued to ONE PERSON for the duration of the festival and are non-transferrable.
What is the online purchase process for Lasso passes?
Lasso 2-day General Admission and Gold passes can be purchased online here or by phone at 1 877-668-8269.
To purchase passes online, you must create your Ticketmaster / Lasso account. When passes are going on sale, patron purchase order will be randomly determined, and passes will become available for sale.
When it’s your turn, you will gain access to the purchase page where you can select the quantity of passes you would like to buy.
Select the type of pass you wish to purchase, make sure you choose the right one because once the transaction is complete no exchanges or refunds will be authorized by evenko.
If you haven’t already done so while in the virtual waiting room, you can now enter all of your purchasing information.
Take note of your confirmation number.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any transaction that exceeds the authorized limit.
Can I select electronic passes (e-passes) as a shipping option?
Lasso is not offering electronic passes (e-passes) for the 2021 edition. Festival passes will be RFID technology bracelets in order to optimize the experience of Lasso's festival-goers.
Can I buy my passes through a reseller?
It is strongly advised that you purchase via lassomontreal.com and avoid buying from a reseller considering we cannot ensure the validity of the passes they sell. There is no way to guarantee the validity of a pass purchased from a vendor other than evenko or Lasso until the first day of the festival, when we scan your pass at the entrance of the site.
Can I upgrade my General Admission pass to GOLD?

Is there camping at Lasso / Parc Jean-Drapeau?
No, camping is prohibited at Parc Jean-Drapeau.
What can I eat/drink at Lasso?
Lasso is Montréal and Montréal = food! The festival strives to offer a variety of quality food to fans. From the famous Montreal poutines to vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options in addition to multiple food trucks on site, fans will have plenty to choose from to satisfy their taste buds!
Beverages ranging from water to soft drinks to beer and other spirits can all be purchased on site. The legal drinking age in Quebec is 18 years old. If you are planning on consuming alcohol at the festival, please bring two (2) valid pieces of ID and be sure to drink responsibly.
Lasso festival goers may bring an empty clear plastic or reusable water bottle with them on site, and water refill stations will be provided. Festival goers may be asked to empty their bottle before entering the festival. No alcohol may be brought in from outside.
Festival goers are allowed to bring a snack for personal consumption (ex: a granola bar). Meals, sandwiches, coolers or lunch boxes are not allowed on the site.
SAFETY & ACCESSIBILITY
Keep it Clean and Safe
While fun and great entertainment is a definite priority at Lasso, it is important to be respectful of your surroundings, other festival goers, and festival staff to ensure that every Lasso-goer has the time of their life. That being said, please follow these guidelines while attending Lasso
1. Make an effort to recycle/throw out all litter. No one likes a dirty festival site.
2. Please be polite to festival staff and festival-goers (though crowds congregate around the stages, please do not push your way through crowds, cut into lines, etc).
3. Respect Parc Jean-Drapeau and the Lasso site. Please leave the site as you find it upon entering Lasso. Do not remove signs, banners, or posters from the festival site. Do not climb or damage trees, sculptures, etc.
4. Respect the art. Several pieces of art are displayed throughout the festival site. Do not touch or move the art! Those who tamper with the art may be ejected from festival grounds.
Is there medical staff at Lasso?
Medical staff are constantly present on site. Please be sure to bring all prescribed medication you may need and avoid putting yourself in harm’s way. While it’s important to have fun, please monitor your consumption of alcohol and be sure to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and juice throughout the day. Make sure to take breaks from the sun if needed. There are plenty of trees for shade on the Lasso site, so please take advantage of them.
Is Lasso accessible for people with reduced mobility?
Lasso is committed to providing a unique experience for people with reduced mobility and disabilities. With the goal of improving universal accessibility, our facility will be optimized with signage, an information booth, a para-transit shuttle and dedicated parking spaces, user-friendly platforms for people with reduced mobility or disabilities. We want to create for our customers a memorable and unforgettable moment.
Accompanying
The Assistance Dogs are authorized as per the law and the accompanying permit.
Accessible facilities
Most our stages are equipped with wheelchair accessible platforms. Signage will be adapted for people with reduced mobility.
Guest Services
A dedicated waiting station will be available at the box office / aquatic complex and an information booth will be available for disembarkation of the paratransit shuttle between the main scenes at the south end of the cosmos bridge which will be pedestrianized.
Toilets
Restricted toilets for guests with reduced mobility will be available on the site.
Parking
Reserved parking spaces for motorists with a handicap sticker are available at most parking lots in Parc Jean-Drapeau:
P7 (Stewart Museum): 2 places
P9 (Aquatic Complex): clients with reduced mobility and adapted transportation
P11 (Biosphere): 2 places
Note that there is a path for people with reduced mobility from P9 parking to the box office/water complex.
Shuttle buses
A paratransit shuttle, currently equipped with front or rear ramps, will be available all day.
Before 20h, boarding will be at the ticket office / aquatic complex and the landing will be between the main scenes at the southern end of the cosmos bridge which will be pedestrian.
After 20h, embarkation and disembarkation will take place at the Pirelli Tower.
Can I bike to Lasso?
Yes! We encourage you to bike to Lasso - it's a fast, practical and ecofriendly transportation mode! Upon arrival to the festival site, roll into The Terminus: a secure and dedicated bicycle parking lot, steps away from the festival’s entrance.
Can I take my car to Lasso?
We recommend taking the STM’s Metro system or biking to Lasso, but if you must travel to Lasso by car please be sure to carpool. Driving directions and parking information can be found on Parc Jean-Drapeau’s website.
