Following the release of his debut EP in 2017, Phil G. Smith returned in 2019 with On fait du country, his new album featuring American country rock in French. A singer-songwriter hailing from Outaouais, Phil G. Smith had a Quebec country radio hit with “Que l’bon Dieu nous pardonne,” which led to a nomination at the 2018 Gala Country, and winning the Stingray Rising Stars award at Festival Western de Saint-Tite. Phil G. Smith’s songs were born somewhere on the roads between Nashville and Saguenay, with influences ranging from Tim McGraw to Dany Placard. They smell of dirt, whiskey, and campfire!
